Was going to run this morning but decided to get some extra sleep and rest up for the next performance challenge workout tonight.
Wednesday Diet:
8:30a: 1/2 lb ground beef, broccoli slaw, salsa
9:30a: coffee
10:30a: Think Thin protein bar (trying to wean myself off these over the next few weeks)
12:30p: Chipotle salad--barbacoa, lettuce, fajita veggies, salsa, guac
3:30p: 15-18 shrimp, small handful of nuts
6:00p: protein shake
8:30p: protein shake
9:00p: sirloin steak, broccoli slaw
Weighed in this morning at about 158. Going to need to get down to 152 in the next 3 or so weeks for the Olympic lifting competition, so I've got a little bit of work ahead of me. Diet will have to be pretty strict during the week, and hopefully I can limit myself on the weekends. Will certainly enjoy Thanksgiving, but may have to put in some extra cardio sessions (back to my boxing days) just to burn some extra calories.
Wednesday Workout, 7:00p @ CFC:
Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3
225-275-315-335
Weights felt decent, but stopped at four sets after Rudy and Jonny called out my crappy form. Not sure if its a lack of activating my glutes and hamstrings or not engaging my core, but the small of my lower back is much too soft when I lift.
Workout
AMRAP, for total reps
4 min: wall ball (#20)
3 min: double unders
2 min: pushups (Games standards, hands release at floor)
1 min: jumping lunges
Metcon, Rx’d:
WB: 60
DU: 169
Push: 50
Lunge: 54
Total: 333
Brutal programming by Alex. Stopped at wall balls with about 1:30 left, would have liked to hit 200 DUs but shoulders were smoked. Lunges were fine until I realized we were only 25 seconds in.
Post-WOD: 3×10/hand KB snatches @ 1 pood
Felt okay but still not good enough to go to 1.5
Good day, definitely tired.
